This is a copy of the “news release” that was sent to Marie-Claude Bibeau and The Sherbrooke Record regarding our equipment upgrades (le francais suit):
Thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Canadian Government’s New Horizons for Seniors Program, the North Hatley Curling Club will complete the renewal of its ice-making equipment this summer.

The equipment overhaul began last summer (2016) with the installation of a new chiller. The chiller, which cost $23,000 (including installation), was paid for from the Club’s contingency fund that had accumulated from small operating surpluses over the years.

Now that curling is over, some of us have more free time for other interesting activities. With that in mind I thought I would share the courses in the upcoming spring semester for Bishop’s University’s Senior Academy.

BU Senior Academy Spring Calendar

Courses are in English. They start this week and next week at various times and locations and run for from four to six weeks (one class each week).
